Thanks Rupert, In effect it is my theme, which for your info is mistylook (http://mistylook.org/). So after much trial and error and patience, I have managed to tweak just the lightbox.css file and have practically managed to make it presentable (margins around the picture are still uneven), with the disgraceful exception of the 'hover' line that still appears over the images.

Should you have any further coding advice, it would be much appreciated. My investigation incidently led me to compare your plugin with three or four others and it's certainly the most finished I've seen. Thanks

martin: yes it is compatible. Your issues stem from your theme conflicting with lightbox's CSS. Failing that, it may be another plugin conflicting with lightbox... but my lucky guess is your theme.

Hi,
Is your Lightbox plugin compatible with WP 2.3? and might it need upgrading for Lightbox v 2.03?

Because with a set of images, the back and forward arrows when they display also trigger an 'underline' which stretches across part of the picture? the images also do not perfectly fit in their frames and the titles and close texts are partially obscured. Which file to edit/tweak to correct all this?

Many thanks for any assistance you can give.

a. thanks, the issue of the title letter color was fixed indeed.
b. the wrong dimensions stopped happening once I disabled the "imagezoom" firefox extension. very strange since it never did that in the past :-(

thanks!

The size Issue I can't replicate... you site works fine for me.

The image title is an issue I've noticed for some time... the CSS for lightbox in my plugin didn't specify an absolute colour for the text, so it picks up, in your case, black as the text colour, making it invisible on black backgrounds.

I've fixed the second issue and uploaded a new version; if you implement it, your text will be grey for lightboxed images.

I've been using this excellent plugin for a while, but today I noticed an oddity. I recently upgraded to the 2.3 (which still identifies itself as 2.2.1 by the way) and started browsing in the latest post I made with lots of pics from my recent trip:
http://ira.abramov.org/blog/2007/10/07/scotland07-04/
oddly, in firefox only, the dimensions of the first image are stuck for the rest of the slides. portrait images are squashed to landscape if that's the size of the first image loaded into lightbox and vice versa, and also image titles didn't work. I tried downgrading to 2.2.1 but the same happens. in IE6 the sizes are right but the titles don't show either. ideas? can I get a link to the original version that worked please?
