AJAX Contact Form plugin for WordPress
Disclaimer: This plugin is quite old, doesn’t work for everybody, and is basically discontinued. There’s now many other ajax contact forms to choose from; I recommend one of those.
ajaxContact is basically the excellent wp-contactform by Ryan Duff, mashed together with Dustin Diaz’s fine Ajax Comment Form, which isn’t a WordPress plugin. So basically 95% of the credit for this plugin goes to those fine gentlemen!
Please leave feedback in the comments below.
To use it:
put the html < –ajax contact form–> with a “!” right behind the “< ” in any page you want a contact form in.
Test it here:
Note that this form will not actually email me. I’m very tired of reading 15 emails a day that say test, testing, asdsasdf, etc.
Use this pretend form to your heart’s content. Should you wish to actually contact me, you can do so on my Contact Page.
To do:
- Implement proper form field checking.
- make a button for the write page, for 1-click addition of forms
- misc., code cleanup, valid xhtml
- more graceful fallback on non-js browsers (eg: better feedback)
Release notes:
- 2007/01/11 Fixed nasty bug that stopped many messages from getting through. Added README.txt to zipped folder.
- 2006/07/09 Fixed double-mailing bug, javascripts appear only on pages with ACF on them.
