New Lightbox plugin for WordPress (updated: bugfix)

Full details and the plugin are available on the new Lightbox page. (updated: bugfix!)
I’ve modified the Lightbox 2.2 plugin for WordPress blogs… If you’ve had trouble getting Lightbox to work with your site, because eg: you’ve installed wordpress in /wordpress/ instead of /, give this plugin a try!

  • This version works when wordpress is installed in non-standard locations, ie: /wordpress/ instead of /, whereas similar plugins break.
  • This version uses the arrow keys as well as P, N, and X to navigate images. Other plugins do not.
  • Minor cosmetic changes.

Lightbox javascript opens images within the current page, while dimming the screen. Click the thumbnails below for a demonstration.

Implementing lightbox on your site is easy: just add rel=”lightbox” to your images’ “href” tags or rel=”lightbox[groupname]“ to a group of related photos. If you use WordPress and have photos on Flickr.com, try the Hemingway-Flickr plugin for wordpress, which has full Lightbox integration.
